Bad Boy Joe!

Eek! So sorry I'm late! Got busy this Saturday and totally forgot. :(

It kind of scares me how good he was in this role. For the first time in my life, I actually could see how a woman would stay with a guy that beat her. The way he acted towards her, especially at the end, and the just... *guh* about him, even as such a bad guy, just hit me. Holy cow, I could totally see how she stayed with him, and that's a bit scary. Joe absolutely *nailed* the role and the character.

HD's from CSI Miami - Slow Burn; Mike Sheridan.

Goes to show exactly how good an actor he is to play such a convincing role.

I didn't become familiar with Joe and SGA until last year. When I looked him up on IMDB and saw that he'd done an episode of CSI:Miami, I instantly remembered *exactly* which episode he'd been in, even though it'd been five or six years since I'd seen it. In fact, looking back, his was the only episode of CSI:Miami I could remember with any clarity.

He was just that damn good.

Absolutely memorable! I saw all of Season 1 of Warehouse 13 before SGA, and his guest role on that was attention-grabbing, to say the least, even without knowing who he was.

And I never really watched Providence, but the one time I caught an episode, by chance, happened to be his role there, too. I remember being underwhelmed by the series, but really liking the doctor behind the big desk in spite of his being kind of a jerk to what's-her-name.

I'm with you entirely on this one. I never could understand the mentality of someone who would stay with an abusive partner until I saw Joe in this role. And then damn, I got it. The fact that he could play this tricky role so deftly is pretty impressive. What I love about him as an actor is he always brings his A game to even the smallest roles--and you remember them as a result.

It sort of scared me a little because I'm not sure I could've or would've reacted any differently than his girlfriend. Whoa. Totally NOT the reaction I thought I'd have.

Exactly. I couldn't get the character of Mike Sheridan out of my mind--he certainly came to the forefront the first time I decided to write an AU John Sheppard! :-)

I didn't want to watch this episode because I was worried about how Joe would look playing such an awful character. But he totally blew me away with it. He was brilliant. The facial expressions, the eyes...wow!

Scary, yet so hot at the same time...how is this possible?

I agree with you. Dangerous, smoldering...devastatingly attractive.

I wasn't sure whether to watch this, but Joe was SO good in the role, making me want to comfort him. A truly outstanding performance.
