Sorry about yesterday, fans. RL really kicked my ass. So to make up for it, here's some double yummy 28 year old Joe.

I love this cut...............
longer on top but military regs on side and back
I knew many pilots who wore it like this.........
very nice
AND
it would have screamed on Sheppard.
>:-)
And I am not talking about age, but merely his cut.

Hmm, I suppose the problem is that it's a very "dated" style? Something about that length just screams 90s to me, so although I could see a younger Sheppard wearing his hair like that, post-nineties Sheppard probably wouldn't (just like Joe wore it like that in the nineties, but not later on).

No that is pretty much the way they all wore it....OK some now,
but many....and I
wore mine like it when I was flying, but a bit longer on sides and
back.........it was fairly easy to take care of once you removed
your flight gear...just a touch up here and there...and the hat I wore looked good with it also....
I guess it just makes me smile when I think of Sheppard like that
and seeing Joe in that audition he did in flight gear and his
hair like that made me want Sheppard like that too.....
***sighs***
I need to post my flight stuff on LJ......need to find a scanner
to do it though.

I didn't know you were a pilot. That's very cool.

and seeing Joe in that audition he did in flight gear and his
hair like that made me want Sheppard like that too.....

Like an actual audition, or are you talking about those cut-scenes he did for a videogame?

Not a pilot, just fortunate enough to have been assigned to a major air station and later with a squadron......squadron scheduling officers contacted me whenever there were empty
seats and pilots who loved taking me wherever they were going
e.g. cross countries, bomb runs, refueling, aerial manuverers
etc........and a boss who thought it was cool that I was so
involved.
My job at the air station was military public relations
officer and at the squadron, administrative officer.
I had all my own flight gear, thanks to pilots who used their flight
logs to procure gear for me......
I kept my flight suit.....the rest I turned in or gave away, e.g. my two flight jackets....
Every once in awhile I stare at my flight suit and daydream......
>:-)
It was an incredible experience.
One that I will never forget.
BTW the icon is our squadron patch...we were The Black Ravens

I can see why you'd never forget that experience. It sounds absolutely amazing.
