You know what really annoys me? I cannot find this thing anywhere
It is not only NOT on DVD but not even on YouTube.
I would love to see Joe in scrubs
I am not into doctor shows, but I did love Dr. Carter and
would love to see Joe scrub up......

***applauds loudly****
My reply would be more subdued if it were not for Joe
:-)
Thank you
May I pass it along to other fans of the Flan?

Where can I get some???
I am ~~~serious~~~
It is getting to the point with my cowlicks and natural curl
that life is just one bed head morning after another.
I finally called it a day and got a razor cut but that doesn't
even work well.

Apparently the props guys went to makeup (after makeup pouted and stated that Mr. Flanigan wasn't being 'cooperative') and offered to glue his hair down so he would look the part of a serious doctor. :-)

He talks about it on a Creation Con clip from Burbank 2007--it might still be on YouTube or Creation's website--it's a great clip!

(I can sympathize--my hair is like kudzu--engulfing entire mountainsides and telephone poles and mailboxes...when it is humid--which is 80% of the year where I live--I look like a giant walking dandelion)

I kind of wonder if it is the cut because in some of his earlier stuff
it looks great.......especially love the way if flops over his forehead,
but seems that when it is cut too short on top it tends to do whatever
it wants.
When I used to have some control, if anyone cut it too short at the back
of my head (top of head where it curves down to the neck) I looked like
Alfalfa from Our Gang........no matter what I did it would go
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNG and stand up.
Now it just does that all over.
**sighs**
Thanks for taking my earlier reply seriously.
I meant every word of it and looks like you need help too

You must have seen the clip because 'BOING' is exactly how Joe describes his hair about 1 hour after the polymer application. :-)

As a matter of fact I have not seen it.
Till you mentioned it, I had no idea he ever discussed
his battle. However, I do know its a running gag on LJ
and other sites dedicated to JF and SGA.
I was speaking of what MY hair did, when they
cut it too short, and no matter what I put on it, to shut it
down, it would do that....
:-/
Are you familiar with what Alfalfa looked like???
His hair was pretty much together,
not that Joe and I can claim same, but in the back it was
sticking straight up. I tried to find a pix but had no luck

I just watched that video and it was so funny
I cannot believe I used same word to describe what the hair does
Thank you for providing the link
I would love someday to go to a con......if nothing else just to
see what he looks and sounds like in RL......
I love his Sheppard character.....and thanks to ff he just
lives on despite SGA being dumped.

Well the use of the word 'boing' was what made me think you *had* seen it. :-)

Nope, what made me think of that word is is when it pops
up out of the place you thought you had safely put it,
that was the only word that came to mind.
Like those cartoons where something is bouncing up and down and
making a boink, boink, boink sound.
