After the Wraith somehow made off with pieces of his dart before the FBI could get to the crash site the first time - I'm quite sure that Rodney sent, at the very least, a well-prepared cleanup crew out right behind the fighter jets. And that Sheppard was saved, and brought into the Stargate program.
BECAUSE ANY OTHER ENDING IS UNACCEPTABLE.
The end.
The writers (of this ep, who claim otherwise) are wrong.
So unbelievable.....what was even worse is later as he crawls away, badly wounded, from what is left of his gutted car, to die in the desert alone. This is after he called in the coordinates for the airstrike that saved Earth................ What really got me was in an interview when he was asked about it Joe just chuckled ***raps him on his cow licked hair***
I don't know. I suppose had they air lifted him, but if not, he would have never made it given how shot up he was......... Had I been in charge, I would have had a med evac accompany the jets. They could have picked up Sheppard once the jets took out the air stream. Those med evacs are totally loaded when it comes to treating even in transit. But watching the way it was happening lead me to believe "expendable" >:-( At least that is my take on it........particularly given the way Woolsley, who I REALLY detested and still do, was acting.....
Well, in that new NCIS spinoff, Chris O'Donnell's character got shot to pieces in the crossover ep--gunned down on the street with an assault weapon from the back of a moving van. And amazingly, his character lives, according to the promos for the new show. So in a weird sort of way, that gives me hope for vegas!Sheppard.
*don't ask me to explain--it's not rational, I know*
I think I am one of the only people who didn't care for the episode that much. However, I would love to road trip with Vegas!John in his Camaro. Rowwwrrrr
I'm thinking of VegasDetective!John coming into my home every week. Buying someone's hard luck story. Getting into trouble waaaaaay over his head. Calling on his gov't pal, Rodney, for favors.
'C'mon, Rawdney. Just this once.'
'Just this once! Ha! Try just this once today. Next week it'll be "Rawwwwdney, this and Rawwwdney that.'
