I think the tptb really FAILED to utilize Robert Davi's incredible talent. He's a wonderful actor and they could have had something SPECIAL. Joe and Robert together could have really, really been something to see, but they gave them both crap to work with.

Agreed. I think Joe and Davi were aware of the characters' potential and it's a damn shame that the show didn't have the leadership to make the best use of it... but then, TPTB were batting a thousand on missed potential.

The parts where Sheppard is stuck with Lavin are just priceless. The Genii are my favorite baddies and Kolya in particular, but I really wanted something more from that showdown.

The writers got incredibly lazy. They should have kept the show and canceled the writers who were obviously out of original ideas or just didn't care anymore.

Since the cancellation, I've often wondered where the show could have gone with some quality writers. Not to take away from the behind the scenes crew, as I think SGA had an awesome production staff and crew, and they did have a few really good writers. Unfortunately, the top guys had final approval and those were the ones who didn't care anymore.

I still maintain that Robert Cooper wrote a hell of a script in "Vegas" and could have taken that concept off into a complete new season. I also think he would have loved to have done it.
