I did think the whole imaginary vanishing monster from Epiphany was the real low point of that script, and the way they made John tackle it was kinda cheesy effects-wise, but we did get some great screen caps out of it! :)

The only time I recall him being "rattled" at all is his expression in "Spoils of War" when the Queen has John, Ronon and Rodney captive and chooses Rodney as the first to feed on.
