For today's HD pic spam I did another round of "Random" Shep. I randomly chose a season and ended up with season 4. Then I randomly chose an episode, and ended up with Missing (Interesting. LOL)

So, some caps of Shep from Missing. Not a lot of Shep in this one, but I do like the scenes that he did have. :)

If you mean row 3 middle shot, I agree. Its ridiculously sexy to watch that man reload his P-90. LOL I have no clue why, but its just hot! LOL

This was another annoying!Keller episode wasn't it??

yeah... I really was NOT fond of Keller in this episode particularly. I mean there's being scared and totally out of your element, and behaving the way she was behaving. Really, I was wondering when Teyla was just going to slap some sense into her... I know, that's not nice, but while most of the time I was "meh" to Keller overall, in this episode she set my teeth on edge. My dentist would probably tell me not to watch it.... ;)

I do love him leaning on the railing with his tablet though... different, almost casual look for Sheppard. I really liked it!

Competent hands... man who can handle his weapons... its just... wow. But I have a thing for Soldier/Military!Sheppard. heh

I think this might have been one of the reasons I decided that Keller and McKay were a more plausible couple than her and Ronon. Ronon would never be able to stay with someone as scared and helpless as her. But she and Rodney are kindred spirits.

And I thought John and his tablet was great as we very rarely saw him actually doing paperwork or administrative stuff even though he was the Military Commander and he would be in charge of that kind of work, too.

That's a good point I hadn't considered before. However, I would've liked to see her a bit less helpless and whiny... and then I would've preferred her and Ronon, Just my preference.

Though they all the sudden made her superwoman in season 5, with her P-90 accuracy in First Contact (or was it Lost Tribe..?) and fending off a Wraith warrior with a stick in Tracker. :/

I think we didn't see him do administrative stuff (and yes! there had to be a lot! it comes with the territory of not only his post but also his rank!) because its boring to watch him fill out paperwork. LOL! Though I do toss it in my stories here and there because it had to be a big part of his job, so I totally agree with what you're saying. He didn't get to just go out and shoot things. That's not how it works in command. ;)

I always wondered why Keller didn't pick up some kind of useful weapon (or why Teyla didn't grab some better weapons) from the guys that Teyla had killed.

But no. Keller kept her itty bitty SCALPEL for the entire episode. I find that hard to swallow. Scared is one thing, but surely no one would have been allowed off-world (even just to visit the Athosians) without better training (and SENSE) than THAT.

heh, yeah. I just thought her fear and "totally out of her element and has no clue what to do" a bit over done.

I wondered about them going off world unarmed. Yes, they were going to New Athos and yes, it should be safe, but they should've learned by then that every time they stepped through the gate, it was into the unknown. To me, anyone going off world, including civilians, should be trained to use a side arm and be required to carry it.

I have yet to see "Missing." I somehow missed it the first time around. Then there were lots of other episodes to watch and not much time for an episode without much Sheppard. Eventually, it escaped me that I had not seen it. I clued when I saw another screencap some time ago. But then the contents of the house were packed up and moved to the basement during renovations. Unfortunately, a couple of seasons of SGA are still missing (appropriate for an discs with an episode entitled "Missing".) I could just watch online, I suppose, but now its become sort of a 'thing.' As long as I don't watch it, there's still more SGA to see. Silly, I know, but it's the principle of the thing.

On the other hand, screen caps are great and I suspect you have capped all the best seconds of this episode and I would not want to hold on on that, too. And the reloading one...yeah.

He was good in the parts he was in. It was a very Teyla centric episode, but I liked his parts. And he got to be all soldier-y and commanding and I always love that ;)

I've always liked those balcony shots. For one thing, his shoulders look about four feet wide there.

But I can see that I've seriously under-appreciated some of his other moments in this episode. Gracious. He sure does fill up those few scenes in a big way. And anytime he wears that BDU shirt he has my attention. :)

heh, yes, he doesn't have a lot of time in this episode but I think he maximized the time he had (and looked good doing it! ;) )
