It's okay. I think even Joe would jump at the chance to play Sheppard again. Maybe one of these days we'll get a real resolution - penned and produced by people who care and who've felt the fans' frustrations.
I hated it how TPTB blamed SGA fans for the demise of SGU It was cheap and underhanded............. They wanted darker and more complex I am certain we could have done that. I know I could easily have done that There was no excuse
\0/ I missed my chance to see it on Google Play - they stopped uploading it to the US - probably in advance of shipping the DVD. But, hey, I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
*hugs you* So glad to see you back.
I'm actually interested to see how they handle the subject matter - if they dance around it as background or if they give any insight. I know, I know... it's not a "deep" movie, but this subject has been on my mind ever since seeing "The Whistleblower." Great movie, but a little hard to take at some points.
I saw it thanks to generous people uploading it elsewhere.... :) I pre-ordered it from the US Amazon and despite it being released on September 11 they say that my delivery is estimated on: October 5, 2012 - October 26, 2012.
I'll send them greetings back from....The Moon. That's probably where I live according to them.... :)
I think they did show the main problem pretty well. They showed how it is done, why, what happens next, they showed people benefiting from it and the “clients”. They showed how little the police can do and how everything and everybody is corrupted. In a way “it” was only in the background, but it was still there, present all the time. You can’t really call it a deep film but in a way you can, I mean, the message is there. Constantly. I found myself thinking: “Such things do happen in RL. It’s beyond terrible!” on several occasions, so… as I said in my “review” – hadn’t it been for the terrible Romanian (?) actors – it would have really turned out great.
At the very beginning, before the film begins they say:
“Modern day slavery is a big business. I once saw a child sold for six bullets.”
So this is the mystery behind the title. “The Butcher” would fit too. It would also make sense but I’m glad they used Six Bullets. When you watch the film and think about the title – it gives you something to think about.

I think this role REALLY suited Joe. He definitely needs more films like that. And so do we :)
