Re: the shotgun. You can tell this man has handled real weapons in his life; he handles the props with care and confidence, and even though he's firing blank rounds, he treats the weapons as if every round is live. (Noticed that watching Thoughtcrimes. He knows how to shoulder a shotgun without hurting himself.)

I've noticed that before, too, and wondered if it had to do with his having grown up on a ranch with livestock to protect. My parents taught me to handle guns for that reason when I was only 7, and I've had to use them for real a few times. Other hand, maybe he just had good training on set. Either way, he looks completely natural and, as you say, careful and confident. And sexy. Damned sexy.

I agree - growing up on a ranch is likely an education unto itself. I'm sure there's some kind of training on the set, too, but you can usually tell the difference between actors who have handled real weapons and those who've been taught with props.

I love Outcast. Easily one of my most watched episodes. Ronon being all protective of John, *finally* getting to meet Nancy and Dave, surprise!Bates and Bill Lee. ♥

With Outcast they gave us just enough backstory as to be infuriating when we didn't get more. But those glimpses of Dave and Nancy left so much room for imagination and I always love to see how fanfic writers handle them. Oh, and Bill Lee is always welcome, as is Bates.

I can't help it.... the shotgun is just damn hot! As is Ronon in Civis.

And the Sheppard clan must have really lucked out on the good genes... Dave is just as hot as John, and that makes me wonder if there was ever any girlfriend/boyfriend problems between the two.
