Little too much beard for my taste, but he really looked like a mountain man in Bedford in 2009! LOL!

I remember thinking "oh gads! I hope he shaves before VanCon (about a month later) Boy, did he. Showed up in work boots with a ridiculously sexy red rag in the back pocket of his jeans and looked like a handyman.... though I've never had a handyman look like THAT. LOL!

No idea who to credit for these. Found them online... somewhere... ;)

Well I think it was the 1st con he made after SGA cancelation and I think he was hurt by this.
I prefer him shave or unshaved and here is too much even if he keeps his charm his beard hide his nice face and smile.
Poor Joe he had to feel not so good at this time ;)

you may have a point. Not to mention it was just exhausting for him, not only the problems (I'm sure) but also all of the constant traveling back and forth between LA and Vancouver. Maybe he just checked out and really took a few months off to recover. I wouldn't blame him one bit.

I hope how well fans received him both in Bedford and not long after in Vancouver. was helpful. :)

I'm sure he felt fan support at this con.I wll never blame him cos I feel the same.I'm really sure he and his oals felt betrayed after all their worjk done to improve the show and they didn't expect for the end of the show so early despite his constant travel and family far way at LA.He said at Vancouver con he was taxed but he had just found to manage this :)
Even if I like "Epihany" and his beard in IMO he looks better shaved or unshaved.It's rare to see him so bearded in real life :))

LOL well true. But for me if he wants to shave first, and even have a little bit of stubble all the better.

I will say teh beard was soft... I think the beard was proof Joe was taking some time for himself (that and the man has a five o'clock shadow at noon), but I did hear him say later when someone had him autograph a pic from Bedford that he thought he looked old. I do like Joe with a bit of scruff though.

I'd take Joe anyway I could!! I do like beards, but Joe's beard covers much of his adorable face--if he trimmed it to show more of his face and less "overgrown" he would look very stylish and HOT!!! I do prefer him clean shaven so his whole handsome face can be seen!!
