Today's selection is Alternate/AU Shep. Shep in other realities (like Epiphany) or even other states of mind (like Phantoms). Or, other incarnations like Doppelganger and Alternate!Shep like in BIS, TMC and of course, Vegas!
Enjoy! :)

Enjoy! :)

Agree that Evil!John's psycho grin is great, but I like the ones two rows up from that even better, that dark, smoldering stare just before Dreaming!John throws him through the wall. That! Look!

Like his counterpart, he takes on a Wraith single handed.
You just want him to succeed in so many ways.......
Bless his heart.............

Though watching the last scene with hurt repli!John (last pic) facing the replicators in the downed jumper, I always entertained the secret fantasy that repli!John managed to take down the replicators and the rest of team's nanites were able to heal them and bring them back to live again. We never see the replicators actually killing repli!John, we only hear the shooting. So, a girl can dream, right?
I'm dreaming of a story where the repli!team survives this way and manages to find their own city. Or manages to escape into a different reality where they can make a difference. :-)
The pic of Vegas!John looking at the chair. Watching him eye the control chair I always wondered if he wanted to sit down in it as he did in "Rising". Imagine if he had. Things could have taken a completely different direction. Hey - AU of an AU. ;-)
Then John pushing the button of Atlantis self-destruction, closing his eyes and waiting for the explosion. I love that scene because that's John Sheppard in a nutshell. Heartbreakingly heroic and human at the same time - he doesn't want to die but if it's the only way, he doesn't hesitate. It's one thing to die in a fight or in the middle of the action, but it's the *waiting* for death here that gets me every time.
Thanks for coming up with this wonderful collection.

Vegas!John, oh yeah. ;)
And I really liked that scene from Progeny, it was very Sheppard. He'd certainly do that without hesitation and as a man that would always fight to live, he'd reconginze the situation for what it was and give his life, if there was o other way. As he said in Childhood's End when Kerus challenged him on whether or not he'd sacrifice his life if it was necessary.
"It'd have to be really necessary."
Glad you enjoyed it :)
