I thought that Conversion was one of the best episodes and reflects how Joe can do mean and dirty as well as heroic............ However, there are also some very poignant parts of Conversion e.g. where he waltzes into Weir's office and motioning over his shoulder at the marine says something like "Look I made a new friend"............and later when he warns Weir they will need additional guards posted at his quarters............
Yes - poignant and powerful. In most actors' hands, that epi would have been really campy and overwrought, but he went just far enough without crossing the line into cheesy. A delicate balance, well handled.
You are absolutely correct.........could have resulted in real disappointment.......... It just reflects Joe's talents in pulling it off without a hitch.......... It is why I hate seeing his talent wasted in ersatz stuff like that thing where he played back drop for what was really a spring board, supposedly, for her music career......... >:-/

Mostly I'm impressed with how much texture they've given his mutated skin. It's pretty amazing what they can do with makeup.

That his hair was flat and relatively tame.
Then I noticed he was being turned into a bug.
I worry about my brain sometimes.
