We all know how great a non verbal actor JF is. I always believed Sheppard to be a man of deep emotions, just well covered. But sometimes, we saw them and Joe always did such a good job with that aspect of the character (among many others!)

He about breaks me when I see that softness edge around his eyes.

It's so subtle the way Joe plays it that it took me I think two viewings through the series to catch it.

Damn, he just breaks my heart in a lot of these! He really does convey a lot of emotion in a very subtle way.

oh yes! He really does. Joe is great at the nuances, I love it. Notice new stuff all the time :)

In a lot of ways he really did make that show. It was a great ensemble, especially the first 3 seasons, but he was such a strong lead too :)

JF can say so much with those gorgeous eyes...the subtlety of his expressions say a thousand words.

In Remants, his eyes conveyed true fear in that scene with Kolya....gave me shivers....

I couldn't find one in Remnants I was happy with. I'll have to do better when I cap the bluray this winter :D

I recognize a couple of these from Adrift, when Keller is telling Sheppard about Weir's injuries. Amazing how much he can convey without saying a single word.

Second row, middle shot is one of my favorites...where Rodney is trying to say good-bye and John adamantly refuses to hear it because he doesn't want to lose McKay. The Shrine will always be my favorite S5 episode, hands down.

oh gosh yes! that pier scene makes me laugh and cry both, every time I watch it. Joe and David did SUCH a good job with it :D

The Shrine is a great episode. Lots of team stuff and one of my favorites. :)
