Hard to believe this is the same guy who hosts Iron Chief America on Food Network :D AND of course we ALL know him as Wo Fat, arch antagonist of McGarrett.... >:-)
Mark Dacascos has a long career as a martial arts actor and other roles before Iron Chef. It's why I long to see him and Steve involved in a long all out throw-down because Marc would do such a scene justice.
I know. I was just being facetious about Iron Chef............and speaking of Iron, I find it extremely annoying as NONE of the competition ever wins. I stopped watching it for that reason............. I prefer Chopped which features four chefs in competition for $10K and a panel of three judges.............I have picked up some neat cooking tips through this show.......... It is actually only cooking show I watch on Food Network now that I no longer watch Iron Chef........
I was thrilled to see Mark pick up that role of Wo Fat as he can be very very villainous. >:-)
One of my favorite moments in that episode. You should just see how much I flail during the fight scene. Mmmm...Sheppard on his knees and shooting at baddies. *drools* I have a terrible habit of repeating the scene several times when I watch it.
I can't find the article where it mentions it but I believe that Ben Browder suggested Mark Dacascos to TPTB. They've been friends since they worked together in the movie Boogie Boy in 1998 (horrible haircut on Ben in that flick but he plays a really cold badguy to make up for it. *g*)
