Apparently people with pale-colored eyes are more sensitive to light than people with darker colored eyes, and he does have those beautiful pale gray/green/hazel eyes. Or, as a fanfic I read once many years ago and cannot forget put it, "glacier-coloured orbs." So he probably actually needs those cool shades!

Having same eye color as Joe, I have had to wear strong sunglasses
for a long time. I wore aviation in the military as they are not only protective but
they are anti glare.......and wear a pair much like them today as my eyes do not dilate enough and even in rain I wear them for glare it creates.........

Ahem. I am SUCH a lurker but I have to jump up and down with joy on this post and come out of hiding, because I'M THE PERSON THAT TOOK THIS PIC!!!! It was at Dragoncon in 2009 and Joe was deeply apologizing for being late to the panel because he "had to pack". He was leaving his hotel room to come to the panel when a hotel employee told him it was past his checkout time and to get a move on. "Get your stuff out", Joe quoted.

I'll go back to lurking now.......glad I made the dailies!

WOW! You took this? It's a great picture! I watched the panel on youtube. Is this the one where Ben asked the crowd not to clap when Joe showed up? I do think it's funny he's been tardy because of hotel check-out issues at cons!

I wish Dragon Con would have this type of Stargate Line-up again. Right now it's Amanda, Joe and...Beau Bridges. I'm going this year and hope they add more!
