Not a nice character, indeed, but, wow, Joe played Sheridan to a "T" - those last few minutes right before and when he's reunited with the girl... you see him turn that indifferent smirk into to the reason the girl keeps coming back. Now, whether it's manipulative or real emotion from Sheridan is kind of up in the air, and that makes it all the more chilling. Joe aced that IMO.

Very last moment of scene with his abused GF, he leans back and kisses her on the back of her shoulder. Breaks down the last molecule of my resistance to him playing a bad guy. Totally outside the box, beyond the call, and convincing. He is an amazing actor. He needs to get out more. So we can see him. Guh~~
