My reaction too. Especially since the first tweet I read sounded a bit strange. I'd just heard of someone impersonating Daniel Radcliffe on twitter so my index of suspicion was pretty high as well. On the other hand, maybe he thought it was about time.

Way back when I first joined twitter and began following David Hewlett, I came in on the tail end of some sort of situation in which he said he'd had to 'clear out the nest' of followers for some reason I never fully understood, and he apologized for it. I got the impression it had to do with sheer numbers, though you can never trust my impressions. :-)

It's great, I think. At least he can get info out on projects to his fans first hand as it were. Maybe a bit of fun snarking with Hewlett too. It's short and easy to access from his ever-present iPhone or whatever on a whim too, which should work well for him given how busy he is.

He got David's twitter-name wrong (referred to him as @davidhewlett, when he's @dhewlett) plus his posts keep going to "twitlonger" because he can't seem to do short posts, so, given who we're talking about... well, I'm going to assume it's him. Because I figure someone who knew from Twitter well enough to fake being him would get these rookie mistakes right.
