I agree with crashbarrier here. This photo has so many perfect elements in terms of color, balance, contrasting figures, and the story that it tells. But I think the best feature is the causal disregard that John has for the explosion behind him here.

On another note, it must have been a pain in the ass to have to wear all that gear all the time. And yet Joe manages to still make it look hot.
