Wow! Four amazing shots. A special smile for the hands in the BAMSR cap, but nothing beats that look in Spoils of War. Worry, horror, helplessness, fear, protectiveness... and I like to think, love, all written on that face.
The role of John Sheppard was indeed a mastery of 'subtle' acting for Joe.
Miller's Crossing may be my favorite of all of the episodes. Joe Flanigan's acting was superb, so understated and emotional. He can convey so much varied emotion in those amazing eyes.
I just finished watching all 4 of these episodes yesterday...going back through Season 4 just for kicks. All great episodes, especially BAMSF (I had to laugh when I first read that, as it looked like BAMF - which I suppose describes John, in a way).
The Sheppard/McKay scene from "Miller's Crossing" is one of the best ones they've done together...when I first saw it I was almost convinced Rodney would go against Sheppard's wishes and allow Tood to feed on him anyway.
It's shots like these that make me want to watch the show over and over. That last one in particular - so much unspoken feeling! JF, I salute your acting eyes.

Yeah. Hard to chose which one is better, but RAWL for the BAMSR one. I hardly remember that episode, so that one was a surprise. Must watch again.

He says so much without saying a single word.

That moment from Miller's Crossing- just *wibble*
As for Be All My Sins Remember'd I keep staring at those long fingers and thinking...
...what was I saying?

But my favorite pic to show Sheppard's stress is this one:
