I can kind of see John in civvies on some Sunday that they have off, waiting on the mainland for Rodney to show up where he surprises him with a little picnic, maybe sleeping out under the stars. And this right here is the moment John sees Rodney walking off the 'jumper.
Someday, when I get my writing mojo back, I'm going to have Rodney realize he's in love with John and then become an UTTER MESS around him. Because if I have to look at this picture and my brain goes offline until I can only make nonsense sounds, then Rodney should too. Except it's worse for him, because he's confronted with John Sheppard, in the flesh, ALL THE TIME.
