Important Admin Post

How many of our members will be at the Chicago Con in August? And would anyone be interested in meeting up at some point?

ETA: I've counted 12 of us so far, with one possible. That should make for a pretty good group. I'm thinking Saturday will be the busiest day for us SGA fans, so maybe we can work something out for Friday or Sunday. We'll talk about it in the coming (eee!) weeks.

:D So you bought a preferred package? I wonder if I could just buy a ticket there on Saturday? I hate that they charge a shipping/handling fee when it's an E-ticket! I've never been to a con. I have no idea if they can sell out.
Now I have to figure out how to get there. I couldn't find any info about parking. I guess I could just take the blue line to O'hare, and then a taxi.

Is anyone going to the other con earlier in August, the one with James Marsters and Michael Biehn?

Nope, I just bought the one day. I'm flying all the way out from Seattle for one day. LOL the things I do for Hewlett and Flanigan! I don't know if this con sells out, but yeah, the ticket prices suck. That's Creation. They, unfortunately, have the big bucks to get the big names. The good things about Creation cons is you have a seat and that's your seat for however long you are at the con.

No one I know is going to the other one. Most of my gang went to the Minneapolis
con with Joe and David by themselves on one day. Amazing!

If you're concerned about being by yourself- don' t be. That's why this group is good. You can hang out with the Flanigan Appreciation Society all weekend. One thing I've realized from SGA fans is we are the nicest bunch! Everyone is welcome to join in the fun!

Yay! I guess I'm confused before the site says it's a "non-reserved seat in the rear of the theatre", but you say you have a seat number.

If you go here: http://www.creationent.com/cal/sgchi.htm#tix to look at tickets depending on what you choose (I got the preferred admission for Saturday). When you click 'buy tickets' it will take you to a screen where you can choose your seat. Good luck if you decide to join us!

Ah ok. So you didn't get the GA ticket, you got the Preferred Package. I think I would probably just get the GA ticket cause I'm so cheap. :)

Cute icon! hehe

There's two different day passes - preferred ($55) and general ($25) - with preferred you pay a little more, but you are a little closer to the stage and have an assigned seat.

Thanks. I would probably just get the general admission ticket.

Sorry- I got the Saturday only preferred ticket.

Or a lack of sanity!
1/2 to see David/Joe and 1/2 to see friends. It makes for a nice, albeit expensive, weekend.
